INTRODUCING OUR NEW 2K ULTIMATE FILLER SYSTEM
As the economic climate drives bodyshops to explore new ways of cutting costs and boosting productivity, AkzoNobel’s premium vehicle refinishes brand Lesonal has launched a fast-drying filler that enables them to do both.
The first of an innovative new range of refinishing products, 2K Ultimate Filler is specially formulated to dry in around 30 minutes at ambient temperatures, 5 minutes using infrared and 10 minutes when cured at 60oC.
“We’re under no illusions that spiraling costs are among the biggest threats to bodyshops in the current economic climate,” explains Patrick Bourguignon, Director of AkzoNobel’s Automotive and Specialty Coatings business. “The new fillers have been developed to help our customers accelerate repair performance while tackling some of the major challenges they face.
Lesonal 2K Ultimate Filler is a non-sanding and sanding system in one, which can be applied without the need to use pre-treatment wipes or wash-primer. This allows technicians to begin repairs faster, confident that the primer’s enhanced adhesion will deliver excellent corrosion protection for outstanding end results.
Once a repair is underway, the full layers of filler can be applied in one-stop without needing flash-offs. When dried with infrared, process times can be reduced by up to 80% compared to using a conventional filler.
